When you are “The Worst” you are still Almost “The Best”!

After day 3 of my running/walking programAfter day 3 of my running/walking program

Look at that face…Look at that sweat -GROSS.  I love this shot (as bad as it makes me look) because it shows improvement.  I have been going to an out of the way track next to a shopping center that is really just some concrete poured around a retention pond.  This track has potholes and there is duck poop everywhere.  So why do I go there to run? Because at 6:45 in the morning there is not a soul there and when I run it is quite embarrassing.  I pant and wheeze and spit and drool and sweat terribly and worst of all I run at a pace that is so slow it is probably considered walking. lol  Don’t get me wrong, I feel like I am a super stud when I am doing this but in reality I know it probably looks sort of sad.  This is the subject of today’s post.

When we start something new we are always bad at it.  We usually just want to quit and say “well that is just not for me because it is so hard for me to do it”.  I was thinking about this during my last walk/run and this thought came to me.

” Out of all of the people in the entire world that are running this morning I am probably the slowest and the most pitiful of all of them. . . .but look how many ARE NOT running this morning!!!”

Always remember that you beat 90% of your competition by simply entering the race!

No matter if its running, starting a business, starting a diet, restarting a diet lol, starting a new relationship or anything else, if you don’t START you can never get better.

So go get started, it may be painful but it will make you feel proud to know that 90% of the rest of the world didn’t even have the guts to start…and YOU DID!

I Think You Can… Go Do It!
